By The Book. The End

BY THE BOOK, the third instalment of my  Science Fiction trilogy, SALVAGE, is out today. Yippee. When I say Science Fiction, I mean it’s set in the future, in about 250 years, and it’s set in Space, mostly, but other than that it is like all my books, sci-fi, crime or historical, about people finding themselves in situations they’d rather not be in and dealing with it. In the first volume, INSIDE OUT, seven fools embark for Triton, moon of Neptune (a very long way away), intending to milk the status quo (the established order, not the band) for all it’s worth. But they discover that the status quo has a very nasty side and they are feeding themselves right into it. A bit of self-adjustment is required. In the second volume, MAKING WAVES, they are regurgitated, not unscathed, and conclude that the dark side of the status quo needs to be taught a lesson. It’s not always easy to get other people to see the need. Now, in the third volume, they have figured out that it isn’t the dark side of the status quo that needs to be disrupted, but the status quo itself. At a cost, needless to say.

nothing to do with this post but just a canny ruse to attract attention: one of my three new additions to the family

It’s all happening in the future – and it’s all happening now. Too much of it is happening now. But this is fiction. Mostly. There is reunion, some of it surprising. There is greed and grief, terror and triumph, racism and revenge, hubris and, I hope, humour. There is plotting and there is decoding and there is a conclusion.

A possible conclusion.

And there is a cat.

BY THE BOOK, out now, in paperback and on Kindle (even free on Kindle Unlimited), so why not Buy the Book?
